DESIGN WITH PASSION & PURPOSE
We make sure everything we do honors our commitment to inclusive design: from the products we create, to the organizations we support.
Eone joins Oxfam HK to fight against poverty
Eone aims to infuse simplicity, fashion and inclusiveness into its designs. With founders from Harvard and MIT, its design team focuses on not only innovativeness, but also practicality to make its products more universal.
Eone’s The Bradley was launched in 2013 and offers the public a unique, fresh as well as empowering way to tell time. By replacing the usual watch hands with two ball bearings, sight is no longer a prerequisite to tell time.
Through The Bradley, named after former Navy officer Bradley Snyder, Eone hopes to share his story and courage with the world in a tangible way. When the war in Afghanistan took away his sight, his perseverance and fortitude remained; he ended up winning two gold and one silver medals in the Paralympics. What Eone brings to him is more than just convenience and functionality, but the empowerment that helps him live his life with more independence.
In 2015, Eone hopes to touch the lives of even more people. The design team hopes to reach marginalized groups in society through their inclusive design; partnering with Oxfam Hong Kong will enable Eone to take this aspiration a step further.
Starting from today, a portion of Eone’s profits in Hong Kong will go into supporting Oxfam Hong Kong’s projects against poverty in Hong Kong and mainland China. Your support can bring about positive change in the lives of people living in poverty.
